Class Assembly

Today Class MG told the school and visiting parents about the work they completed last term on the Island of Hiemaey.

Hiemaey is the largest and only inhabited island of the Westman Islands.  The Westman Islands form the most southerly region of Iceland and are very active volcanically.  Today the children told the story of the volcanic eruption in 1973 and how it had affected the islanders.
