Streatley Day 1

To start our 1st day, at Streatley, we arrived at the youth hostel. We then dropped off our bags, and set off on our journey.
Our next stop was Didcot railway museum where we saw lots of cool things. We learnt about the revolution of transport in Britain. We then got instructed on driving trains.
After that we watched and listened to a PowerPoint about the Victorian era of transport.
Last but not least we had a talk with a man dressed up as Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who designed trains that were the fastest transport ever at that time. Then he built railways from the massive harbours like Liverpool and Bristol.
After that we talked about train signals and navvies. Lastly, we did some sketching on some of the trains and objects around the museum. Luckily, we didn’t get wet!
