Streatley Monday 2nd June

Streatley-Monday
The journey to Streatley was about 1 hour and a half. We got to the youth hostel and we put our luggage in the lounge. After that we had a 5 minute mess around outside the hostel because we wanted to burn off some energy. Then we set of again for 10 minutes to go to Didcot railway and we looked at the exhibits of the old steam trains there.
We learnt how to drive a steam train and we learnt the different parts of the engine including how to use the fire and the water pump. We also learnt how to use the gears and we learnt that it wasn’t numbers it was percentage for the steam trains.
Then we had lunch and then we went to look around the rest of the exhibits. After that we did a few sketches of the railway parts, we had about 2 hours to do that. We then went to the minibuses and drove back to Streatley.
When we had arrived we learnt our rooms and who we were with in the rooms. We tidied the rooms, we did our beds after that we went into the conference room to study. We had to do our diary and to do our pictures in best then we went to do our duties.
