W/E 26th April 2013

The term continues with a focus on revision in both English and Maths. It is amazing how much we manage to cover in such a short period of time, but it is great to see the impact that revision has on the children’s confidence and achievement.

Rivers – A local study is our geography topic this term and the children have created some fantastic covers for their topic books. We have already looked at settlements, 4 figure and 6 figure grid references and map symbols. This is good background work in preparation for our Selborne visit on 22nd May – for which letters will be sent home shortly.

This topic will also involve walking along the River Rother this term and any parental help will be appreciated. Please contact us if you are able to help.

With the welcome return of the sunny weather we have started to use the school grounds for our Art topic on viewpoints. We also enjoyed a class treat on the field and adventure play trail on Thursday afternoon.

Next week Brandon and Fenn will be going on their residential trip to Foxlease with HG and we hope that they both have a brilliant time. Meanwhile revision will be continuing for the rest of us!
