Thank you to those who commented on our animations and if you haven’t seen them yet please view them. The children had great fun making them and came up with some original ideas.
This week has been busy for the year 6 children as they took part in Bikeability. Each day they wrapped up warmly and set off on their bikes around Liss and I am glad to report that they all achieved a Level 2. Well done!
The highlight of maths this week was calculating the length of the British Grand Prix at Siverstone in both miles and kilometres! A task that was enjoyed by all. We also learnt how to find the perimeter and area of rectangles and compound shapes.
Yowasi (the teacher from our twinned school in Kafuro, Uganda) finally arrived this week and he has been visiting each class. He taught MG some playground games during our PE lesson and will be working with us again next week.
We are gearing ourselves up for the French Fashion Show next week and have been finding out about fashions in World War II to help us decide on our costumes. Then we had to find out what our clothes were in French. Learning how to pronounce them is the hardest part. We hope to wow you all next Wednesday in our show.
Most of our clay houses survived being fired in the kiln; only one or two suffered any damage which adds to the bombed effect that we tried hard to create on some houses!
Letters were sent home this week about our class trip on 22nd March, if you are able to help on the day can you please let us know. Thank you
