Thank you to all those children who managed to do some of the homework despite the lure of fun in the snow. I am disa ppointed that only 5 children completed activities in Education City. It is important that you keep checking the school website and class blogs if there is a disruption to the school day as work is set.
In Literacy we have continued our work on rationing in World War 2 and will continue this with a WW2 focus next week.
This weekends homework is important as the children need their research to inform their writing.
In Maths we have been finding percentages and the homework this week reflects this.
Unfortunately we missed our clay work last week and have had to delay it another week as our parent helpers couldn’t come in this week. So we now look forward to next Friday.(fingers crossed.)
In Music we are looking at music in WW2 in particulsr Glenn Miller and ‘Little Brown Jug’. Today we begin watching a film of his life.
Next week we will be putting our rations knowledge into practise as we cook some war-time biscuits and cakes. Check next week for some pictures of the results!
